Sing, Sing Together

January 20, 2011

Did you know that Kindermusik classes are helping your child with singing?

Well, they are!  Each of our songs is chosen according to the musical intervals in it. For example, the song: “Ding Dong, Ding Dong, who’s at the door..” we are singing during story time in the Our Time class uses the interval of a minor third or the pitches of so and mi from the do, re, mi, fa, so, la, ti, do major scale that most people are familiar with.  Using this simple interval to tune your child’s voice will help them be a great singer of all the musical intervals out there!

As your child grows with Kindermusik we also add the tone la, and do to the mix.  With each interval your child learns to hear, listen, and sing it with confidence. In the Young Child class we will learn these same notes not only with our voices, but also with our glockenspiels and be able to read them on the musical staff.

Singing so-mi in Our Time, learning more intervals in Imagine That, prepares your child for musical learning in Young Child.  Kindermusik Young Child prepares your child for private piano, violin, voice, or even drum lessons!  T

There are so many musical activities out there, but Kindermusik prepares your child from stage to stage and grows with them in the learning process so that he or she will be ready for the next adventure in singing and learning!
